HEYDAR ALIYEV CENTER - ZAHA HADID
The Heydar Aliyev Center is a complex of buildings designed by the architect Zaha Hadid that she highlight for her architecture and fluid curved style that avoids sharp angles. It was this building that allowed Zaha Hadid to become the first woman to win the Pritzker Prize.
The Heydar Aliyev Center, an internationally recognized architectural work, has become a landmark in modern Baku due to its innovative and cutting-edge design. The building was nominated for the 2013 World Architecture Festival and Biennial Inside Festival Awards.
The total area of the building is 57,519 square meters. In the cultural center building project there is hardly a straight line. The shape of the building is undulating, it rises towards the sky and merges with the earth. This structure represents not only a postmodern style of architecture, but also duration and infinity. The lines in the building symbolize the relationship of the past with the future, the white color of the building symbolizes a promising future. The center includes an underground parking and a park With an extension of 13.58 hectares.
